Precautions for men to drink
If you can't refuse others' advice to drink, you can pay attention to the way you drink. Scientific research shows that you will definitely feel much better if you supplement your diet with some meat or staple food before drinking alcohol.
In fact, the saying that drinking on an empty stomach makes you drunk is also popular in European and American countries. In order to verify such a widely circulated folk wisdom, Swedish scientists once conducted a study to try to understand how effective eating is in preventing drunkenness.
In this study, researchers asked 10 subjects to drink alcohol in two different ways over two days. The first way of drinking was to let the subjects drink on an empty stomach in the morning, and the second way of drinking was to let the subjects drink after eating a not very full breakfast. The results of the study showed that on the day when they drank after breakfast, the subjects were generally less drunk, even though the amount of alcohol consumed was the same as on the day when they drank on an empty stomach in the morning. The researchers also found that on the day they drank after breakfast, the blood alcohol concentration in the subjects' blood was 70% lower than on the day they drank on an empty stomach in the morning.
The researchers also found that in some cases, drinking after a meal can even bring the drinker's blood alcohol content below the legal limit for drivers. The researchers explained that the reason why blood alcohol levels drop after eating is due to metabolic processes. Under normal circumstances, after a person drinks alcohol, corresponding things will come out of the body to break down the alcohol. However, some alcohol will still be absorbed directly into the blood. After eating, the protein, fat and dense carbohydrates in the stomach will slow down the absorption of alcohol into the blood. However, there are also things that can speed up the absorption of alcohol into the blood, such as soda and higher temperatures. Warm wine can also speed up the absorption of alcohol into the blood.
However, once alcohol enters the blood, no matter how coffee , or taking a cold shower to relieve the hangover is of no avail.
