The glans looks like prickly heat

The appearance of prickly heat-like things on the glans of the penis, and a bit of itching, is a symptom of balanitis. It is often seen in patients with long foreskin or excessive foreskin. Some patients may suffer from minor systemic symptoms, such as fatigue, sleepiness, etc. At the onset of the disease, only the inner plate of the foreskin and the coronal sulcus are red, or dry and cracked like broken porcelain.

It may be the initial mucosal damage of Reites' disease, or it may be related to the long-term irritation of urine scale. The clinical symptoms are erythema on the glans penis, which slowly expands into an annular or multi-annular shape, and may later produce shallow ulcers. The main characteristic of this disease is that there are one or more annular lesions on the glans, with a red eroded surface in the middle and a long white strip on the edge, connecting to form a ring. Secondary infection can aggravate the disease and lose its ring characteristics.

Caused by trichomoniasis infection, Candida albicans is the most common. The clinical symptoms are excessive foreskin and erythema of the glans, with a smooth surface, a small amount of flakes nearby, small papules or small pustules scattered around, and slowly expanding to the periphery. Acute symptoms may include edematous erythema, erosion, and exudate. In severe cases, it can spread to the male genitals, vagina, inner thighs and groin. It is often caused by sexually transmitted infections, but can also be secondary to diabetes, active hepatitis, or long-term antibiotic or hormone treatment.
