Cervicitis II is usually not serious, but it needs to be judged based on the specific condition. Cervicitis II refers to moderate cervical inflammation. Most patients can be cured through standard treatment. A few patients who do not receive timely intervention may develop ascending infection or chronic lesions. Cervicitis II may be related to pathogenic infection, mechanical injury, hormonal imbalance and other factors, and needs to be comprehensively evaluated based on clinical symptoms and examination results.
Patients with cervicitis II often experience symptoms such as increased leucorrhea that is yellow or purulent, bleeding after intercourse, and swelling of the lumbosacral region. If antibiotics such as azithromycin tablets, doxycycline tablets and other drugs are used to fight infection in time, and local treatments such as Baofukang suppository are used, the inflammation can usually be controlled within 1-2 weeks. Daily attention should be paid to perineal cleaning, avoiding sexual intercourse stimulation, and regular gynecological review. The prognosis of most cases is good.
If cervicitis II is combined with persistent high-risk HPV infection, unstandardized medication, or low immunity, it may progress to cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. Such patients need to undergo colposcopy biopsy to confirm the extent of the disease, and if necessary, undergo cervical conization. Long-term inflammatory stimulation may also increase the risk of pelvic inflammatory disease, fallopian tube adhesions and even infertility, but such situations are rare in standard follow-up.
It is recommended that after being diagnosed with cervicitis II, you should complete a full course of drug treatment as directed by your doctor to avoid stopping the drug on your own. During treatment, wear cotton underwear and change it daily. Avoid spicy and irritating foods. Appropriate supplements of citrus fruits containing vitamin C can enhance immunity. Review TCT and HPV 3-6 months after treatment. If abnormal bleeding or abdominal pain worsens, timely follow-up is required.
