People's requirements for sexual life have become higher and higher. Many times, it is necessary to judge the physical condition of both spouses. If one party has a sexually transmitted disease, there is no way to have sexual life to avoid contagion of the disease. In addition, you must also take care of your own reproductive organs. Try to avoid some detailed infections of the reproductive organs, which may cause reproductive organ diseases.
testis:
Testicles are male reproductive glands, one on each side and oval-shaped. They are suspended in the scrotum by the spermatic cord. They are about 4 to 5 cm long, 3 to 4 cm thick, and each weighs about 15 g. It is the organ that produces male reproductive cells (i.e. sperm) and the main endocrine gland that produces male hormones.Internal structure of testis:
There is a thick layer of dense connective tissue membrane on the surface of the testis, called the tunica albuginea. The inner side of the tunica albuginea is loose connective tissue with abundant blood vessels, which is called the vascular membrane. The tunica albuginea of the testis thickens on its dorsal side and sinks into the testis, forming the testicular mediastinum. The mediastinum extends radially into the testicular parenchyma and divides the testis into several lobules. Each lobule contains 1-3 curved seminiferous tubules, which merge into a short and straight seminiferous tubule at the top of the lobule and enter the mediastinum. In the mediastinum, these small tubes anastomose with each other to form a network, forming the rete testis. From the rete testis, 12-13 curved small tubes are called testicular efferent ducts. They penetrate the tunica albuginea and enter the caput epididymis. There are interstitial cells in the seminiferous tubules that can secrete male hormones and promote the development and maintenance of male reproductive organs and male secondary sexual characteristics. The epithelial cells of the seminiferous tubules have the function of producing sperm. The seminiferous tubules combine with each other to form the straight seminiferous tubules, which are the pipeline system for sperm transportation. Finally, they converge and synthesize into a tube that enters the head of the epididymis and is excreted from the body through the vas deferens.
Epididymis:
The epididymis is a coiled epididymal tube at the posterior edge of the testicle. There are fine fibrous tissue and honeycomb tissue between the small tubes, and it is divided into three parts: head, body and tail. The testicular head is composed of the efferent duct, and the tube wall is composed of pseudostratified columnar epithelium, which contains two types of cells, one is ciliated columnar epithelium ; The other type is low columnar secretory cells. The cells are arranged alternately high and low, so the lumen is irregular and serrated. The body and tail of the epididymis is composed of the epididymal duct, which is composed of pseudostratified columnar ciliated epithelium. The epithelium is uniform in height, so the lumen is regular. The epididymis is slender, flat, and half-moon-shaped, with one on each side, about 5cm long, and attached to the back side of the testicles. The epididymis stores and discharges sperm, promotes sperm maturation, and secretes fluid to provide sperm nutrition. The above physiological functions are accomplished through the absorption, secretion and concentration functions of epididymal epithelial cells.
